Mr. Wang is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Corsair. He joined Corsair in 2013 and is based in New York.
Mr. Wang oversees all legal and compliance matters relating to the firm. Prior to joining Corsair, Mr. Wang was a Senior Vice President and Counsel at GSO Capital Partners LP (“GSO”), an affiliate of The Blackstone Group L.P., where he was responsible for legal, transactional, regulatory and compliance issues related to the investment management of private funds, registered funds and separately managed accounts. Prior to joining GSO in January 2008, Mr. Wang served as Assistant Vice President and Associate Counsel to ICON Capital Corp., where in addition to providing legal advice to executive management he had primary SEC filing responsibilities for six publicly registered investment funds. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Wang was an associate in Latham & Watkins LLP’s corporate transactional practice.
Mr. Wang graduated from Cornell Law School and received a B.A. in American Studies and American History from Northwestern University.
